A little history
The Bundaberg Business Women’s Network Inc (BBWN) was formed in July 1997 as a result of a “Women ‐ Grow Your Business” seminar hosted by the Department of State Development. The Department and The Bundaberg Riverside Enterprise Centre provided guidance and assistance to the fledgling group. The Network became an incorporated association in 2014.
Events are arranged where members can come together to share ideas and experiences that empower, promote and support members’ business skills and knowledge in an environment that encourages active networking while fostering a “mentoring” relationship amongst members.
Our current membership includes business owners, professionals, and employees of private enterprise and government agencies. We maintain a membership register which facilitates the sharing of information relating to seminars and workshops while supporting and promoting member’s services and products to a wider audience.
What We Do
The Bundaberg Business Women’s Network Inc is more than just a networking group. We are committed to giving back to our members and to the wider community and have a number of initiatives that aim to contribute towards the ongoing personal and professional development of our members in the Wide Bay area.
The Bundaberg Business Women’s Network Inc has successfully facilitated mentorships in the past and is able to connect members with the right mentor for you to help you achieve your goals and aspirations.
The Bundaberg Business Women’s Network Scholarship is a joint initiative with CQUniversity to encourage and reward academic excellence in Business and Accounting, with the payment of $1,000 to a qualifying female student.
