Topic 3: Leading with Heart – Business, Innovation & Legacy

What it means to be a woman leading with vision. The importance of innovation, resilience, and creating opportunities for future generations— building a legacy rooted in both tradition and transformation.

ABOUT GINA:

Gina Dang is a proud daughter of migrant farmers, a businesswoman, and the visionary founder of Gina’s Table. Based in North Bundaberg, she is part of the Dang family who built SSS Strawberries in Bundaberg as the second generation in farming —a thriving farm that has become of Australia's largest strawberry producers.

Growing up on the farm, Gina witnessed both the beauty and the challenges of primary production. Inspired by her family's resilience and driven by a passion for reducing food waste, she launched Gina's Table—a food manufacturing brand dedicated to giving "imperfect" Australian fruits a second life. Using advanced freeze-drying technology, Gina's Table transforms these fruits into 100% natural, zero-added-sugar ingredients and snacks that celebrate flavour, nutrition, and sustainability.

Under Gina's leadership, the brand has won multiple national and international awards for innovation and sustainability and has been featured nationally for its commitment to supporting local farmers and circular economy practices.

Gina's story is one of transformation: from rural roots to national recognition, from waste to wonder. Her business journey is driven by heart, community, and a vision to create lasting impact through food. She champions regional entrepreneurship, leads with integrity, and brings authenticity to every table she touches.

At her core, Gina is a mother, a daughter, and a fierce believer in building a legacy that uplifts others. Through Gina's Table, she continues to honour her family's past while shaping a more sustainable and inclusive future for Australian food.
